Trying to attract angel investment into a company? Considering making an angel investment? This discussion will delve into some of the devilish details surrounding how to structure an early stage angel investment. In particular, this break out session will propose a framework for thinking about the business-side challenges of backing an early stage company. And it will then look at some specific contracting solutions to those problems. Professor Bernthal teaches a Venture Capital course at CU-Boulder and, additionally, examines angel investment opportunities in Colorado. This session will combine academic theory with practical lessons from his experience in the field. This session is targeted to entrepreneurs as well as individuals interested in early stage investing.
