National Entrepreneurship Week (Educate and/or Empower)

  • Overview
  • This annual celebration is designed to honor the enormous contributions that entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship educators make to the economic vitality of the United States. It is a celebration of American entrepreneurs and the lifelong learning educational opportunities that prepare the NEW business leaders of the future. The Week is in response to the U S House of Representatives Resolution #699, supporting an annual National Entrepreneurship Week and encouraging the celebration of it annually at the local, state, and national levels.

Youth, schools, and community/organizations that have youth-led businesses now have an opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial ventures. Students must create a three minute video that captures their business and “pitch” it to judges. Submissions can be made as one of three categories: 1) Personal business (outside of school/community), 2) School-based business, or 3) Community/organizational youth-lead business. The deadline to submit a video entry is midnight January 30th.
