Ho-Chunk Community Development Corporation

HCCDC identifies it’s target service market as Native Americans in Thurston County, Nebraska.  HCCDC was formed by and partners with the Winnebago Tribe and its entities, and therefore its core focus is the Winnebago Indian Reservation.  However, due to its present location in Walthill on the Omaha Reservation (located adjacent to the Winnebago Reservation – the two together encompass the entirety of Thurston County), HCCDC will secondarily serve all of Thurston County as many of ts programs and services are offered countywide.

During its first three years of operation, business development efforts in Winnebago have resulted in direct, positive effect on the county as a whole.  As a tertiary market, HCCDC offers and has provided some of its services to Native Americans located throughout Nebraska.

The HCCDC Business Development Center has been open since January 2003. There have been various businesses over the first five years. The commercial development services have been expanded to offer space in the orignial center and through out the office retail space of Village Place which is located in Winnebago.
