The South Central Economic Development District is a consortium of twelve rural Nebraska counties who see improving rural economies as a regional rather than purely local issue.

In addition to a large network of contacts at local, state and federal agencies, SCEDD can assist with a wide variety of projects and enterprises for communities, businesses and individuals.

We are especially interested in helping projects in our region that:

  • Improve rural access to technology
  • Bring new businesses to rural areas
  • Help retain and recruit young families
  • Help entrepreneurs get started in business
  • Increase housing opportunities
  • Improve community facilities
  • Make existing businesses stronger
  • Encourage tourism in the region

Our Goals

  • Make our rural communities more livable and desirable
  • Make our rural businesses stronger and more viable
  • Make our rural entrepreneurs more commonplace
  • Make our rural lifestyle within reach of anyone who appreciates clean air, safe streets, great schools, affordable housing and a sense of community rarely found in cities.

Help us Improve

We're looking to improve entrepreneurship...let us know how we can help
